Poden Farms escaped the cold of the British winter to sunny Spain for the MET Tour , Oliva Nova.

Emily Moffitt,Ben Maher and Guy Goosen all took a string of horses to compete from new young horses and some getting back into ‘show gear’ after a well earned break over the holidays.

Guy Goosen, new to the team took our new 6yr stallion as his first debut show with Poden Farms and proved the quality in this young horse producing many clear rounds over the tour.  Definitely one to watch this year.  Guy also took our two 7yr olds Light Blue 3 and Dakota who stepped up in the YH horse divisions with ease and again strong results.

Emily Moffitt showed her three top mounts Tipsy du Terral, Winnie Good and Copain du Perchet to get them back into ring ready for the competitive summer season ahead of them.

All horses jumped up to their top standard with consistent clears in the Ranking classes and many top 5 finishes.  Emily also showed a new mount for her, 7yr old Cash du Plessis who has been with Poden since a 4yr.  Both stepping up together, finishing at 1.40m level.  Cash will be a great addition to her string this summer.

Ben Maher rode Poden Farm’s F One USA , Don Vito and Explosion W.

Explosion had an easy couple weeks schooling ready for the first LGCT show in Doha directly after but F One was put under pressure and handled it well taking second place in both Grand Prixs.  He will debut on the LGCT tour with Ben this year.
